The Pre School sessions are for children between the ages of 3 and
5, and are carefully planned to provide a child-centred programme which is both varied, exciting and tailored to individual children's developmental needs.
Through a
stimulating environment, children are encouraged to develop the six key areas of
learning and development described in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
Communication, language and literacy.
Problem solving, Reasoning and numeracy.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
Physical Development.
Creative Development.
Parents input is
invaluable and they are kept informed of their children's progress through an individual child profile. This contains daily observations, photographs and examples of results of activities. The profiles are used to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to flourish in all areas of development, and as a talking point between staff, children and most importantly parents.
At the Mews we believe that small is beautiful, and limit the number in the pre-school to 20 children at any one time. We make sure children make the most out of our three indoor interlinking rooms (quiet area, creative area and roll-play area), and get outside each day to our safe outdoor garden.
Finally we believe that choosing and retaining the right staff is very important to a successful and happy small nursery. This involves recruiting a high ratio of experienced and qualified staff, across the age range, and investing in their on-going training and development.
Come and see how this all works in practice by arranging an appointment (by phoning us on 01225 332593), and then complete and application form.
